As progress is made in suppressing the virus in Scotland, restrictions on hospitality businesses are set to be eased. However, this can only take place with appropriate measures in place to prevent the number of cases rising again.
In order to support NHS Scotland’s Test and Protect service, once hospitality businesses return to serving customers in outdoor and indoor areas, it will be necessary for all businesses – such as pubs, restaurants and cafes – to gather contact information from non-takeaway customers and staff. Where customers are attending as a small household group, the contact details for one member – a ‘lead member’ – will be sufficient. If a business offers a mixture of a sit-in and takeaway service, contact information only needs to be collected for customers who are dining in.
From the 6th of July, we will ask all non-takeaway customers for contact details to aid the NHS’s Test and Protect service. We will be using our outside seating area at first and then we will open the inside area on 15th July. Bookings can be made by calling the deli.
Naturally, for all shoppers and staff, we will continue with the procedures of queuing and socially distancing currently in place.
