Iron Maiden Darkest Red Douro DOC

Are you ready for The Darkest Hour? If you’re a rock fan, you may recognise the title – a recent hit from heavy metal legends, Iron Maiden. Now it’s also the name of a brand-new red that’s been released in collaboration with the band. A very apt name too, because this is a Black Red of immense depth and with great credentials. It’s made by Portugal’s Van Zeller family, a centuries-old cellar famous for great Port, from vines high in the Douro Valley. Aged in old Port barrels, Darkest Hour has a perfect harmony of juicy bramble fruit and spicy richness. And look at the collector’s item bottle with its iconic label and neck tag proclaiming ‘Eddie’s Blend’ – in honour of the band’s famous mascot. Pour generously with Maiden full volume!
