Latest update from Billingtons.
The latest advice from Government has made a very clear ask of us all. That we stay at home as much as we can in order to slow the spread of Coronavirus. Whilst visits to Billingtons are still allowed to ensure your families have the essentials they need, it’s really important that you do all you can to maintain social distancing. We tried limiting customers to 2 at a time but found some customers were still not adhering to social distancing. We want to continue to serve our community but feel further measures need to be introduced for the reassurance of our customers and team.
As of today we will operate a one in one out policy with a barrier at front of the shop. This will allow us to ensure a 2 metre distance, we will serve you directly. We ask you to form a queue outside respecting the 2 metre distance from each other. We also have in place a home delivery service and you can also call and collect.
Online sales are available here with the introduction of care box’s for G66 so you can order some essential items as available, also send directly to a friend or relative.
We are only accepting cashless payments, contactless limit will be increased to £45 from 1st April to make this easier.
Lastly we are unsure if these measures are sustainable and viable to keep the business operational but we want to be loyal and continue to try and serve our community for as long as we can. We appreciate all your efforts to shop local
Thank you for your understanding stay safe.
Mark Sue and team Billingtons.
